Redwood purchased 165 Queen Street in April 2023 which at the time was the site of a disused local museum that had since fallen into a state of disrepair. Over the course of the following 12 months, the 4,775m2 site was transformed into a vibrant 14-unit social housing development in partnership with Kainga Ora to address the significant housing shortage in the West Coast region.
As the sole developer, Redwood provided end to end services; beginning with architectural designs and consenting, all the way through to demolition, earthworks, construction and landscaping, through a combination of our in-house design and management team as well as local contractors and stakeholders throughout the project.
Completed and settled in April 2024, this vibrant, comfortable, community focused development was delivered on budget and on time.
